Do you know what Yuzu is?
Yuzu is a Japanese Citrus fruit and resembles Grapefruit
in shape but
usually smaller in size.
Recently Yuzu has become quite popular in cooking in Western countries
including Australia.
In Japan traditionally Yuzu has been used as garnish or seasoning. Yuzu are
also used and made into various products like Yuzu Kosho (yuzu pepper),
Ponzu (yuzu vinegar) and Yuzu Hachimitsu (yuzu Honey) for cooking and to
make sweets.
In Winter people in Japan enjoys Yuzuburo (Yuzu bath). Whole or cut Yuzu is
put into hot bathtub, floating on water, releasing their aroma.
Yuzu has refreshing and uplifiting effect on body while calming the mind. It
stimulates the ciruculatory system and digestive system. It also enhances
relaxation in the bath and promote sleep.
